曾經締造《戰爭機器》係列的製作人Cliff Bleszinski一向語出驚人，最近他在接受媒體采訪時表示，任天堂公司應該停止製造遊戲主機硬件，轉型為純軟件開發商，讓更多玩家體驗馬裏奧係列遊戲的樂趣。他還表示現在不是八十年代了，遊戲機處於一個世代變革時期，會帶來很多不穩定的因素，我們現在正處於這種混亂環境中。

除此之外Cliff Bleszinski說道就半導體製造業來講，任天堂應該停止製造主機而應該注重製造軟件，他認為未來任天堂的出路就是轉型為純軟件商。未來應該屬於索尼和微軟的，但與此同時人們也熱衷在iPad上玩遊戲。至於PC平台，Cliff也表示看好，他認為PC遊戲處於一個複興的年代，全數字下載的條件也具備了，未來會如何發展很是拭目以待。
